Hi,

I know this is probably a long shot, but I know many mothers share the same concern. I am writing to urge you to talk to your suppliers, especially those big-name corporations -- move their factories out of China. -or- Scout out and start carrying products that are made elsewhere, other than China.

FYI.
http://investintaiwan.nat.gov.tw/en/news/200603/2006030201.html
Taiwan, Italy, German toys are all very good. Please consider this possibility.

I have been in your store several times wanting to purchase some baby toy or product for my now 6 month old baby, but walk out of your store empty-handed. The reason is that all of the items I wanted to buy are made in China. With all the news about lead-paint and other toxic ingredient coming from China... I do not and will not risk my baby's safety and buy anything from China. Many mothers, like me, are willing to pay a little bit more for better-quality toys/products. Thanks for you time and I
eagerly hope that the situation will change soon.

Claire

Hi, Claire,

Really admire your efforts to help TW in every way. As a concerned parent and Taiwanese, I'll support your advocate of buying items "Made in Taiwan"!

Keep up the good work!!

cici,

Hi Claire,

As a parent for 2 boys, I have found it's very difficult to find toys not made in China. This web site, http://www.chinafreechristmas.info/, is an attempt to help consumers to find china-free toys. It has help me significantly to find some alternative toys.

As a loyal reader of your blog for the last 9 months, I finally can't help to leave a message. Hope you don't mind. Great job, Claire.

oops, I meant 'loyal reader'... not 'royal'

Although that sounds pretty cool... ha ha.
